Out on the Plains

Today I worked in a grassland on the Werribee Treatment Farm - I haven't seen Eutaxia flowering like this in a grassland before. These plants were amongst a bunch of Pimelea spinescens (endangered plant). I feel very lucky to be working in these grasslands

A New Job - New Skills - Rock Negotiations

Since starting with Floravic I have been to some diverse grasslands, but working in Lerderderg Gorge is really putting me into a different landscape. Its bloody hard work scrambling over wet slippery rocks, and the walk out at the end of the day is a killer - but I love it.

Playing

Somehow I deleted this post. This is me playing with aust plants - for what I am not sure but I just enjoyed playing.

Sunday Morning,

I often get up and try to sort some photos. Recently I have seen my first Greenhood Orchids in the wild. Since the first few, I have seen several more and am now trying to learn the differences between each of the species. The one above is Pterostylis curta - easy to remember as the Labellum is twisted (I think of it as someone with a curt tongue.)

Learning that elephants dont climb.
Two old girls having a natter

Think I have caught up with the posts.

Daniel and I spent about 2 hours in the Chinese garden.
